Last week, the #GlobalFlagRaising for West Papua began, as the people of West Papua celebrated the 56th Anniversary of the day the West Papuan flag was first raised on 1st December, 1961.
The flag was raised in solidarity around the world with the West Papuan people who do not have the freedom to raise it without being arrested or worse by the occupying Indonesian military.
