Tragically, an estimated 700 million people living in urban communities globally lack sanitation access. SOIL seeks to address this challenge by proving by sustainably providing safe, affordable, and dignified ecological sanitation services in some of the world’s most vulnerable and under-resourced urban communities. SOIL provides over 8,700 people with access to a toilet and all wastes from SOIL’s toilets are collected, safely treated, and then transformed into lush, organic compost in a process that respects World Health Organization standards.
