Last month, Angela Davis was set to receive an award from the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute, but the institute withdrew the award because of her support for Palestinian rights. But Davis went anyway:
“Palestinians have been struggling for decades and decades and refuse to give up. They are an inspiration to people who are fighting for freedom everywhere on the planet.”
