Help rebuild this school in Mali that was burned down by arsonists over the summer!
In early 2012, Northern Mali underwent a period of civil unrest, resulting in terrorist threats and acts that sought to disrupt education. Since then, 500 hundred schools have closed and 200,000 students still have no access to education.
The Timbolo School had 70 students from the nomadic Tuareg people. It was built in 2016 and has educated the Tuareg children for three years, serving as a continued beacon of hope and progress. The identities of the arsonists are unknown, but it is safe to conclude that racism and fear of education were factors in their motivation.
