Through a joint local community effort with international support, the Arab Regional Centre for World Heritage (ARC-WH; Category 2 Center under the auspices of UNESCO) and volunteers of the Friends of Soqotra (FoS; UK Charity), worked hand in hand with the knowledgeable Mohammed Tali Hasan and his family to realize a vegetation regeneration plot on the Indian Ocean Island of Socotra (UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site).
