tonight’s chef is my kurdish from syria brother omar. kurdish people represent the largest population of displaced people without a country. they are mainly in Turkey, Syria, Iran, #raq (where they have an autonomous area in the north). throughout my life i met extraordinary kurdish people, including virtuoso kamanche player Kayhan Kalhor, filmmaker Bahman Ghobadi and many others i admire so much.
