Help a group of underserved youth from Sierra Leone attend Spain’s most prestigious soccer tournament—they’re so close to reaching their fundraising goal!

by iara lee

Diamond Child School of Arts and Culture is trying to send its soccer team, the Diamonds, to Spain, where it has been invited to attend the Donosti Cup next month! This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for most of these kids, the majority of whom are either orphans or the sons of child soldiers from Sierra Leone’s horrific civil war. Others are victims of the recent Ebola outbreak. Most of these kids may never have another chance to leave their shantytowns in Freetown, but the dedicated Diamond Child School staff is working hard to open new doors for them.
